Our salt cavern gas storage project at Islandmagee in County Antrim, Northern Ireland is a pioneering low cost fast cycle facility providing safe, secure and flexible gas storage that will serve the island of Ireland and mainland UK.
Islandmagee Energy Limited (IMEL) was granted planning permission for the above ground facilities for a natural gas storage facility at Islandmagee, Co Antrim, in October 2012
IMEL plans to create seven caverns, capable of storing up to a total of up to 500 million cubic metres of gas in Permian salt beds approximately 1,500 metres below Larne Lough. IMEL is a Northern Ireland registered company and a wholly owned subsidiary of InfraStrata plc.
Thursday 27th June – Open day at Islandmagee Orange Lodge, Browns Bay Road, Islandmagee – 10am – 2pm
5pm – 9pm – DAERA will be attending to provide guidance on the marine license approval process for the evening session.
Islandmagee Energy are delighted to offer a courtesy shuttle bus service on Thursday 27th June 2019 to our Information Day.
It will run between 10am – 2pm and 5pm – 9pm on the day.
We encourage visitors to the Information Day to avail of this courtesy service by parking their cars at the Browns Bay Car Park and travel to and from the hall on the bus.
